Consumer Reports’ standardized tests provide more specific figures: theLenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 laptop’s batterylasts 13 hours of light-load web browsing and 10.75 hours of heavier 4K video playback, praising this result as “significantly longer than many comparable laptops.” These two sets of data are not contradictory, pointing to the same conclusion: the high-capacity battery provides acceptable all-day performance, but it’s still far from being a “battery monster.”
Expectations for the standard-capacity version are even lower. Some retailers list its battery life as “up to 14 hours,” while another model on Lenovo’s official store page states “up to 8.9 hours.” Considering the power consumption of a 16-inch screen, the actual Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 laptop batterylife of the standard-capacity Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 laptop is closer to the latter than the former.
Regarding fast charging for the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 laptop, Lenovo’s official documentation states that some models support fast charging, reaching 80% in approximately one hour when the laptop is powered off, provided a 65W or higher rectifier is used. This means that if a lower-power adapter is used, the out-of-the-box charging speed may not reach the fastest setting.
In short: The high-capacity battery of the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 laptop offers solid but not amazing battery life, while the standard capacity version requires more conservative expectations; the “80% in one hour” fast Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 laptop batterycharging capability of the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 3 laptop is conditional, requiring sufficiently high power.
