Method 1: Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen (most common)
This is the fastest method. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen (near the iPhone 11 battery icon) to open Control Center. In the top right corner of Control Center, you’ll see a clear battery icon and percentage number.
Method 2: Add a widget to your Home Screen (persistent display)
You can place theiPhone 11 Smartphone Battery widget on your Home Screen or in Today View for easy access.
Long press on an empty area of your Home Screen until the icon starts to jiggle. Tap the “+” button in the top left corner of the screen. Search for “battery” in the search box that appears.
Select the “iPhone 11 Smartphone Battery widget and choose a style you like (square or rectangular widgets are recommended as they display the battery levels of both your phone and connected devices). Tap “Add Widget,” drag and drop it to the desired location on your Home Screen, and then tap “Done.”

You can directly say to Siri, “Hey Siri, how much battery do I have left?” It will reply with the current percentage via voice.
Method 4: View the iPhone 11 Smartphone Battery while charging on your iPhone 11
When your iPhone 11 is connected to a charger or placed on a wireless charger, the screen automatically lights up and briefly displays the battery percentage in large font on the lock screen.
Why can’t the percentage be displayed directly in the upper right corner of the status bar?
This is because the iPhone 11’s “notch” area integrates multiple precision sensors (TrueDepth camera), taking up space in the status bar. There isn’t enough width to simultaneously display cellular signal strength, time, battery icon, and percentage number. Therefore, Apple moved this feature to the Control Center.
