It’s a lightweight 14-inch laptop with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, a non-touch OLED display, and weighs just 980 grams and is a mere 16 mm thick. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X chipset—a 3GHz octa-core X1-26-100 processor—and comes with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. It almost completely abandons the geometric, slashed design that’s been a hallmark of Asus’ recent Zenbook series.

So far, I’ve only tested the 10-core and 12-core versions of the Snapdragon X-series SoCs, and overall, I’ve been impressed. The Asus Zenbook A14 is powered by the newer, lower-spec Snapdragon X chip. It has an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 3GHz (0.4GHz slower than the slowest 10-core chip in the X Plus), no dual-core boost, and a GPU rated at 1.7 teraflops, just under half the performance of the slowest 10-core X Plus chip. There are several octa-core X Plus chips available, but both offer significantly better performance than the octa-core X chip we’re looking at here.
All in all, the Asus Zenbook A14 ticks all the boxes for a lightweight and portable laptop. Not only does it look and feel premium, with a light weight and beautiful build quality, but the display quality and ASUS Zenbook A14 Laptop Battery life are both excellent.
