The battery capacity increase comes with it. Samsung is set to launch its new flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, later this year. A new report reveals theGalaxy Tab S11battery andGalaxy Tab S11 Ultra battery capacities of these two new tablets, bringing good news for users who have been hoping for a more powerful battery in the largest model.
The last time the company upgraded the top model’s battery capacity to 11,200mAh was three years ago. Now, it’s reported that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will feature a larger battery than its predecessor. In 2025, only the base and Ultra models will be released.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in 2022 with an 11,200mAh Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra battery. The two subsequent models retained the same capacity. However, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is about to change that. GalaxyClub discovered that the EB-BX936ABY battery for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has a rated capacity of 11,374mAh—500mAh more than the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra’s rated capacity of 10,800mAh. Since the nominal capacity of upcoming models is typically labeled as 11,200mAh, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra may have a nominal capacity of 11,700mAh or even 12,000mAh.
Samsung isn’t as generous with the base Galaxy Tab S11. Its EB-BX736ABY battery has a rated capacity of 8,160mAh, the same as the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, which has a nominal capacity of 8,400mAh.
You may recall that last year, Samsung’s flagship tablet lineup lacked a base model, as only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra were released. This time, it will only launch the base and Ultra models. Both are expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. The exact release date remains unclear, but Samsung typically unveils new tablets in August or September.
