Will foldable iPhones and iPads arrive in 2026-2027? Apple product process sheet leaked

Leaker Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) posted an image on March 16 that purported to be an Apple X product roadmap.

The picture is a simple chronology up to 2027. According to him, the source of the information is South Korea’s Samsung Securities. Here’s what you might be interested in.

Foldable iPad (Model 20) From a bird’s eye view, it doesn’t look like there will be any big moves until 2025 due to the extension of existing routes. Then, in 2026, that engine will start revving up with the foldable iPhone, and by 2027, it’ll be firing on all cylinders with the arrival of AR glasses and the foldable iPad.

If this information is correct, we will have to wait until 2027 to see the successor to the Apple Vision Pro. What I’m curious about is the foldable iPad, also expected to be released in 2027. While the 20-inch display and folding mechanism will expand the range of uses for the iPad, the narrowing price gap with the Mac will likely increase the number of users who want Mac-like features on the iPad.

To respond to these voices, iPadOS functionality must be expanded to bring it to parity with macOS. There will likely be significant changes to iPadOS around the time the foldable iPad is released.
