First Layer: Managing High Asus ROG 9 Smartphone BatteryLevels
Go to Settings → Battery → Asus ROG 9 Phone Battery Maintenance. You can set the charging limit between 80% and 100%. If you frequently plug it in, setting it to 80% or 90% is sufficient to significantly reduce the high voltage loss on the battery.
For overnight charging, enable scheduled charging, allowing the system to dynamically adjust power during sleep hours, preventing the Asus ROG 9 phone battery from remaining idle for extended periods after being fully charged. When plugged in for extended periods without playing games, you can also enable gentle charging, using lower power to reduce heat generation.
Second Layer: Letting the Battery “Retreat” During Gaming
Bypass charging is the most practical Asus ROG 9 Smartphone Battery maintenance function for the Asus ROG 9 phone. When plugged in, power is supplied directly to the system, bypassing the battery, significantly reducing temperature rise when playing games while charging. The path is Settings → Battery → Asus ROG 9 Battery Charging Mode. Select “Bypass Charging” or “Auto Bypass Charging”. Note: After unplugging the charger, it will automatically switch back to normal charging; you will need to reset it the next time you plug it in.
Third Layer: Maintaining Temperature Limits
The official recommended ambient temperature is 0°C to 35°C. Avoid charging in extreme temperatures, and remove heavy protective cases during high-load gaming to allow for better heat dissipation. These habits are more direct in slowing down Asus ROG 9 Smartphone Batteryaging than any software settings.
In short: Set the daily maximum charge level to 80% to 90% and use scheduled charging; switch to bypass charging when gaming while plugged in to allow the battery to rest; and control the temperature—doing these three things is the most effective daily maintenance for your Asus ROG 9 Smartphone Battery.
